Need Help with Viper 5701 Install

Hi guys, i need some help with my Viper 5701 on 02 5.5 Maxima.

Problem 1: RS Doesn't Work
When pressing the Remote Button, motor doesn't crank. Because of the Flex Relay onboard the 5701, I guess it could be a wiring issue. Here's what I've done.
-Installed PKN2 Imobilize Bypass and believe it has been wired and programmed correctly based on the instructions given.
-Heavy gauge wires (10 Pin Harness) are wired as follows:
Pink/Ign1: wired to Blk/Yel
Red/Wht: no connection
Orange: wired to Wht/Blue
Violet: wired Blk/Red Engine side
Green: wired to Blk/Red Key side
Red: wired to Blue wire Constant +12V
Pink/Wht: wired to Red Wire [this wire is little confusing. according to the wiring color informatin, Red wire is an accessory wire but I've seen DIY instructing to wire the alarm's Ign2 to it(http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/viper791xv/)]
Pink/Blk: No connection. I tried to connect it to the Max's Red wire to see if RS would work but no luck.
Red/Bld: No connection.

Note 1: Feature 2-9 Flex Relay Function has been set as Ignition 2.
Note 2: 2nd Starter wire on the Max (Blk/Wht) has been cut and tapped to the alarm's Purple(Violet) wire).
Note 3: Car will crank and start with key but will not crank when attempting to remote start the car with transmitter with key inserted near the NVIS.
Note 4: Neutral Safety Swtich that came with the alarm has been connected ALONG with tapping the NSS input wire to PIN 44 of ECM.

When pressing the transmitter's RS function, the Viper 5701 appears to try to start the car but failed to crank.

Problem 2: Doors Won't Unlock/Lock with Disarm/Arm
Something funny is going on here. The locks will lock/unlock with driver door open BUT NOT with the doors closed. Door pins are dioded isolated. The alarm seems to arm and disarm as fine.

Problem 3: Continous "error" LED indicator on the transmitter
Not sure if this an alarm issue or not but function LEDs do not indicate when a button is pressure. Instead the "f" LED is lid solid and top center LED would flash and sound for about 2-3 seconds. According to the Owner's manual, it appears to be outputting an error message. This same phenomenon is seen when Arm and Disarm buttons are pressure.

Thanks in advance for any expert advice anyone can offer even though I am still whatever diagnosis I am capble of on my own. I've installed RS/Alarm (less complex than the Viper 5701) before on a Camry and Taurus where they all turned to function intended so this is not entirely new to me even though I may not be a professional installer who does this kind of work for a living.

I can tell you right now youve made a few mistakes, small and big ones. That purple wire from youre remote start brain only supplies enough current so that you can drive a relay. The Unit is most likely damaged at this point. You should not have cut youre secondary starter wire in half, this is utilized when it is cold out. I usually just tap THE NSS wire into the ground wire on the remote start harness. Since i dont really find it a necessity to use on autmoatic cars. Im a little lost on some of youre connections since i dont have the diagrams in front of me, but make sure you connect the -status output from the remotestart brain to the immobilizer bypass.

My advice is if you've never done this before to put it all back to factory and have someone more experienced install it.

Your RS starter wire should be, green to key side, purple to starter side... it's for your starter kill. Your second starter will need a relay off of 2nd starter wire from the RS brain (it's a small purple wire on I believe a 4 pin plug). It's a negative output that needs a relay.

But yea, sounds like you're not too experienced.

Hopefully this digram will help you correctly connect the relay to hook up the secondary starter wire properly. Replace the Green/black wire to the wire for youre second starter on the ignition harness for your car.

thanks for the responses guys.
actually, RS works fine now.
I want to kick myself for cutting that 2nd starter wire by following that DIY i found on the ORG. anyways, the 2nd starter is still cut and I've "jumped" it using the Violet wire.

DcMAN, for the Viper 5701, i think you meant the Pink/White wire because there is no Green/Black wires.

got replacement 2-way transmitters and the confirmation tone/LED works fine.

what's bugging me now is i couldn't get the lock/unlock functions to work. I believe I've tapped the correct wires at the master window/lock module but still couldn't get it to lock and unlock. Funny thing is that if I leave the driver door open, the actuators will lock/unlock all doors except driver door lock using Viper keyfob. at this point, i suspect that I have bad master window/lock switch because the lock/unlock buttons won't operate manually anyways. the lock/unlock would only operate using the factory key FOB which I believe the command is issued by the SECU without routing it to the master window/lock switch first. any feedback or hints would be much appreciated.

other thing i have to do now is wire up a 2nd accessory wire via a relay, which powers the radio and other accessories. 1st accessory wire is to power the coils and other essential engine electronics which is most crucial for RS operation.

Where are you tapping for the lock/unlock wires. SECU or did you run the wires into the door.

do you have double pulse unlock selected through programming?

yes, double pulse unlock selected through viper programming menu. as explained, the viper could sometimes operate (lock/unlock) function with driver door opened. But once the driver door is closed, lock/unlock won't move the actuators.

anyways, i ordered a used master door lock switch so hopefully it will be solved. will keep you posted how it works out after I receive and install it.
