My brother has a 1989 Maxima and he took out the stock Bose stereo and installed a sony deck. The power is coming on but there is no sound. All the wires are in the correct spots, liek when you hold the wires together u will get sound then when u turn off the car and turn it back on u get no sound. But the sound came in on the stock stereo. so dont know what to do?!?

Did your brother hook up the required Bose Harness Adapter when installing the headunit? If he keeps the stock Bose speakers, he MUST use the Bose Harness adapter to hookup the headunit. Or he can simply change all four speakers and forget about the adapter. More info here:
