Rear Door Car Speakers

One of my rear door car speakers on my stock 2003 non-bose Maxima is out. It gives no sound at all. This leads me to believe maybe a wire or something is loose? How can I troubleshoot it?

If the speaker is done for good, where can I find a guide on how to install a new set of speakers? I'm looking on crutchfield.com and they provide installation guides. Are their guides pretty good? Are there other guides available out there? I'm not joe mechanic but I can handle minor mechanical issues ok and I can follow instructions really well

it NEVER hurts to upgrade from bose. Just get new speakers lol. BUT if you do want to just try to get it working, take the door panel off and have the radio going and fiddle with the wire. If it cuts in and out then bingo.

Yeah removing the door panel is where to start very easy and I would try playing with the speaker and see about it.
