Car Alarm Problems.

I have a issue with my car alarm, Its a Automate 435 (Not on my 6th gen) and it came with the car so I have very little knowledge on how its wired. Anyways It was disabled for quite some time and I went out today and bought batteries for the remote to the alarm and as I got the alarm re-enabled the siren goes off (but its very low) you can only hear it if you were standing 5-10' from the car and if I press the panic button the alarm shuts off and the flashers go on for a few seconds and then back to the alarm. Ive had no luck with this and Ive tried many things. Ive even tried to disable the alarm again but to no luck. Vaket mode and all.

Thank you for your insight,
Vik

Where is the brain grounded, and where is the siren grounded?

Check these first, and move them to the kick panel if they aren't already.

Seems like the kick panel already. Any new suggestions?

bad ground on the alarm most likely. find a new one.. if its attached to a piece of metal that's removable or any part of the steering column I'd move it to a solid piece of frame
