Audiocontrol LC2i Line Output Converter

Hey guys, I'm planning to add a mono amp and subwoofer to my factory BOSE system and I'm wondering if I should just purchase a cheap LOC or go with something like this Audiocontrol LC2i LOC that I found on Crutchfield for $100. According to the description, it supports much higher RMS wattage than the cheap ones and is adjustable.

I've used a cheap Scosche LOC in the past in a previous vehicle and it produced okay sound, but I'm just curious if the more expensive LOC will actually produce better sound...

Thanks in advance for any opinions or advice!

You should be fine with the Scosche.

No way the Scosche... It is 'OK' but the LC2i is amazing... I saw a posting on AudioControl's facebook page showing a comparison by Breakers Car Stereo and the LC2i wins hands down and is cheap for what it does

I'm not denying that AudioControl products are fantastic.

But they're overkill when your source (the Bose HU) still puts out a garbage signal. It's not like it makes it any clearer.

Hence, The Scosche is fine for your purposes until you get a really nice head unit.

Every single AudioControl product I have ever installed (other than the epicenter) has boosted the signal very well but has also induced noise into an otherwise clean system. (or amplified inaudible noise) No matter what I tried I couldn't clean it up either. I know all the tricks they suggest...didn't work.

That being said, for a sub amp, just get a pac sni-35 and be done.
