Need a little advice concering subs

I bought 3 10.1 infinity perfects from an internet dealer 1 month ago. I "broke them in" for 1 daya and while I was testing out the system the next day they "blew". Turns out the spiders seperated from the cones and the subs had no control over their excursion. Now they do play fine at low levels- but they are pretty much useless to me.
I called the dealer to return them- but he denied my request saying I had too much power going to each sub. (i was using a rf bd1000.1 which I also bought from him). I don't disagree with him but they subs imho are damaged due to poor craftsmanship. Infinity's show car has 600w rms going to each sub.
Here's the question: I have a way to return these subs directly infinity and get replacements. Should I even bother doing that? OR should I just buy another set of subs? -maybe 2 15" l7's...

Call Infinity to see if that internet dealer is authorized. If he is Infinity may refer you to a local Infinity dealer to have your subs replaced.

Unfortunatley I found out he is not an authorized resller after I placed my order

What was the name of the dealer you purchased them from? I work for Harman (they own Infinity and JBL etc). Contact Infinity and see what they will do for you, they should take of you. The number should be listed on the paper work that came with the subwoofers, if not email me and I'll give it to you. Here are a few questions for you:
What type of enclosure were the woofers in?
Did you set the gain on the amp?
Where is your crossover set on the amp?
How are they wired?
Are they the SVC or DVC? (I think you said they were the SVC based on the model number but I always like to double check)
What were you playing when they "blew"?
Something else you might want to do is have the amp bench tested to make sure the amps not bad, I doubt it is but you never know.
Those subs are great subs, many people compete in DB Drags with them so they take a fair amount of power and they can put out a good amount of bass. Let me know how you make out, or if you have any other questions contact me.

It sealed box with 3 .65 cu ft per enlcosure.
Did you set the gain on the amp?
Gain on the amp was set at its lowest but the "punch" gain was set at 1/2 up
Where is your crossover set on the amp?
50hz
How are they wired?
they were wired in parallel= 1.3ohm load
Are they the SVC or DVC? (I think you said they were the SVC based on the model number but I always like to double check)
SVC
What were you playing when they "blew"?
A reggae song with some serious bass..

It's probably not the amp or enclosure because I'm using my 2 old kicker solobaric s10d's in there and they sound fine.

I've recently read a lot about these subs blowing. But of course every one that did was getting much more than the rated rms power. Do you think Infinity will replace them or should I just go on and buy subs from REAL authorized dealer.... I've learned my lesson the hard way
Thanks
