Automatic Hazard lights

Automatic Hazard lights
('96 SE 5Spd)
I have a project I would like to complete, but after researching the wiring diagram of my car it looks like it may be quite difficult;
I want the hazards lights to activate automatically when;
1) I put the car in reverse
2) I brake very heavily
The "When in reverse" is electronically easy to determine by just tapping into the reverse light to drive a relay or something. The "Braking heavily" is also easy to determine by using a second brake switch that is adjusted to come on only when I press the brake beyond 30% or something (that would have to be tuned). I could also have the hazard lights cancel when I hit the gas to set off again by using a brake switch on the gas pedal. I could also use a relay that would hold itself closed by tapping off the the 'closed' output back into the 'trigger' input.
My big question is - How do I activate the hazard lights? There doesn't appear to be a single wire that I could energize that would do the job. It looks like there are three wire pairs that are connected by the same switch - I'd either need a set of relays or even a triple-pole relay.
Does anyone know of a better solution to activate the hazard lights?
Thanks,
Scruit

I had just seen a Peugeot test on TV the other week. I forget what model number the Peugeot was, but I would think it was an Audi A6 / BMW 5 series competitor. It had the hazards come on automatically during panic braking situations. Kind of an interesting idea. You may want to try searching for that car to get ideas?
BTW, a quick search for 'Peugeot hazard lights' turned up a couple of links to Peugeot 307 and 607 model cars as having that feature.
