Combo Meter and Illumination Wires in 5.5 gen Bose HU

ok, im replacing the Blose HU on my 5.5 gen and speakers. i putting in new speakers along with wire and i did tons of research since im an amateur at radio install. im going to be installing a DIY grounding kit with 4 awg wire which ill have left over along with installing an aswc, rear view camera, amp and sub etc. im pretty sure i have everything figured out aside from two things. What is the red with black stripe wire for the combo meter in the stock harness. All im going to need from the stock harness is the Illumination, constant 12v, ground (metal dash support) and ign on 12v. what do i do with the combo meter wire? just leave it not connected to anything?

another question is the the stock harness has two illumination wires, one for illumination dimmer and the other for illumination on/off, which one do i connect to the illumination wire from my new HU (Pioneer Appradio)?

also i know to ground the brown wire to retain my trip button function on the steering wheel, or will i not have to do that since im using the axxess aswc?

thank you all so much for your help, i've already found out pretty much everything i need to know about the radio overhaul, but these two things i cannot manage to figure out...
