Amps keep shutting off

In my 2002 Maxima, I'm running a p400-4 and a p1000. Everything has been going good untl recently when BOTH amps starting shutting off out of no where at the SAME time. When I pop the head unit out and back in again, they will BOTH turn ON at the SAME time again. Then shut off again while driving. This is getting annoying, there really isn't a specific amount of time it gets shut off in.. What could be wrong? This is really annoying

Do you have any warning lights when they shut down?

did you check to make sure the power wire and grounds are secure? Also check the remote wire on both ends of the system. Seems like it may be loose on the back of the deck, killing signal for the amps to turn on.

No, I suspected it to be a loose connection because alot of the time when I went over bumps it would go off...

It didn't go in protect mode or anything like that

start checking those wires! I would definitely check the remote wire.

When it is not working use a test light on the power and remote feeds at the amp.

be sure to check the fuse(s) as well. I've had a bad ANL fuse that looked fine, but the break was in the filament itself, causing sporadic connections.

+1

Had that happen too. I did not realize it until after i checked the fuse with an ohm meter.
