alternator issues!!

so im on my third alternator.. my stock one went out so i upgraded to an iraggi high output, that one went bad and now my excessive ammperage high output alty is going bad it looks like..
with that being said heres what im running,
i have 2 amps a 800 watt voice amp a 5000 watt bass amp 1300 kinetic audio battery in the trunk and a yellow top under the hood, big three is done and im running 0 gauge for to the audio battery which is powering the bass amp..
i wired 0 gauge power wire to the audio battery in the trunk and 0 gauge ground wire grounding the battery to the chassis under the back seat..

now am i doing something wrong here to be blowing these alternators so often?

What amps are they?

Are the rms power or peak power. How good is your voltage on full tilt, does ot ever go below 12volts

Do you have the big three fused and if so how are the fuses, they might be popped and not pass any current.

Is your grounds on the bare metal and solid metal, or is ot on painted and thin metal?

Could also be poorly built alt. dont wanna bash but ive seen many cases of irragi alts being cheapy built. Alts that i have heard good from are singer, mechman, and dc power

Good luck and let us know how all your stuff is

sub amp is orion hcca the max is 5000
voice amp is hifonics the max is 820
voltage on full tilt drops down below 12 volts
i have the wire from the alty to the battery in under the hood fuzed and its still good..
grounds are bare metal on both places.. i scraped the paint off whe the ground is on the iside of the car.... the metal does not seem to be thing.. i can get atleast 5-6 threads with the bolt that i used..
alt fro irrag was built bad i took it and got it taken apart since the dood disapeared when it was time for my warranty... i heard good things bout excesssive thats why i went with them....
thinking about going with one of the metioned now..

am i running my stuff the right way @ vgkid? thanks for your imput man..

Not sure which iraggi you have but volts x amps= watts. 14v x 380amp alt= 5320w. The total audio system at full is 5820 not taking into account the amperage the electrical system on the car itself uses to run and charge the batteries (60amps+ depending on vehicle). Some alts put out power at a certain rpm range so take that into account as well. Improper voltage (low/high) introduces heat into components. Seeing that the system drops below 12 volts at times can contribute to damage.

so i was researching yesterday and i came upon some stuff on an audio forum.. now in my mind my batter was acting in the place of a cap but really it is putting more stress on the alternator..ive had an isolator which i should of put on a long time ago..but pretty much in the forum it was stated that an extra battery is mainly used if you wanna play your music while the car is off and the at i should be isolated white the car is running so the alt doesnt burn itself out trying to charge 2 batteries..

can anyone contest to this...?

I thought you had an isolator. Yes you want to run an isolator when running 2 batteries, the reason is batteries at times have different resistances so one may drain from the other. When the car starts and is running, the system is trying to charge the batteries and provide enough juice for the system. You should be fine with that setup except at/near peak output. An isolator only stops the drain from one battery to another when the car is off. When the total system while running drops below 12 volts that is where possible damage can be occurring. Also the rating of the alt may be that output past 2500 rpm so consider the idle output and under 2500 rpm less than 350 on top of the draw of the battery charge and regular electrical system draw.

350amp alt from irragi??? i checked with them about 2 years ago and the highest he was able to do was 220amp. i am currently running an excessive 250amp and it seems to be doing fine.

what is the alternator doing? how is it going bad? and btw you don't need an isolator
