Got a good deal on a 01 SE, spent alot of time on the detailing and fixing the windows and other misc crap. Never really messed with the stereo yet because the sub foam had some holes in it. Well come to find out the guy really did this install right, Dynamat in all the doors and trunk, quality speakers, crossovers, 2 amps in the trunk pushing it all, the sub is a JL Audio12W7-3 with a decent Alpine CDA-7998 head unit.( I may upgrade that though) An installer friend told me that the system was probably well over $1200 when new (what I paid for the car). I looked up the sub, it alone is around 5-7 ben franks new. So if this car turns out to be bad news, at least I have a stereo to pull out of it for my next car.

 

Looks like you ended up with a very nice deal. Have you checked in to getting the surround fixed on your sub? The 7998 is a nice headunit. I used a couple of those a while back. What brand are the rest of your components?
