Current good double din nav units

Hello all, i have ordered a new car and I will need a new double din nav unit

I would like:
Nav
XM
Android Compat

I normally buy Eclipse but they are now dead

The Pioneer Appradio looks good but it seems it sucks without a phone hooked up and no XM
Who has good/easy to use nav nowadays?

Any cool features?

Maybe the DNN770HD?

How are the Alpine units?

As far as the rest of the setup:
Morel Maximo components up front(this i am not set on, want a good set under 200 lemme know!)
some Pioneer 6x9 fillers in the rear
PPI P900.4 amp
12guage wire/raammat damping/and thas about it

I have a 2014 Challenger RT on the way

i work at Chrysler now so it was the only car with a manual i wanted

Look at the 890- maybe then, or you can take my 9990 off my hands.

Ditch the rears and invest that into the front.

I bet I could make that work. When you're ready to pull the trigger, we can talk.

I don't like to jump on someone elses thread like this, but I saw little point in making a new thread. What would you guys recommend for a double din with:
-AUX in
-GPS
-Bluetooth hands-free phone operation (not necessary but would like it)

So i think ima get a Kenwood unit

either the DNX890HD or the DNN990HD.

****s up my budget but thats okay

no rear fillers

im thinking 500 for the components and amp? im sure i can find a good used 2channel amp for pretty cheap - so most of the money can go towards some mid-high end 2way(not sure i have the skills to tune a 3way) components. i believe an 8in mid fits in the door as well

what are some options?

I think my DNX9990HD is pending a sale, but that woulda definitely saved ya some coin. Both are great units, but if you're not gonna utilize the WiFi much then the 890 might be a better option.

I am sure something in Focal or Helix should fit that budget.

Are the DNX890HD and the DNX9990HD very different?

I see some decent deals for the 9990HD online.

How are the map updates? Easy to do?

There are some differences, but not a tremendous amount. I was only offering mine up since you could have had a good bit of warranty left on it.

Yea, pretty simple.

Arc Audio 6000's any good? Pretty cheap set on ebay right now

vs. Focal (which one? i see too many and they are confusing )

vs. CDT HD62

vs. ?

i'll start searching for a used 2 channel amp as well. Prob ~75-125x2 rms 4ohm - that way ill really know what i will have for speaker/hu budget

Meh.

Integration or performance line. Then again if your shopping via Fleabay, I can't really help much. Never know what you might end up with there !

As for as the amp tho, i think i want an old school amp. there is a PPI art series A600.2 nearby that i might go check out
Also a ZED/US Acoustics one (maxima is running one, works great)

I got a new amp, Diamond D300.4

4-channel car amplifier
50 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (75 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)
150 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
separate variable high- and low-pass filters (50-250 Hz, 12 dB/octave) on front and rear channels
separate variable bass boosts (0-12 dB at 50 Hz) on front and rear channels
focused mass heatsink improves cooling
Class AB amp technology
PWM MOSFET switching power supply
frequency response: 20-20,000 Hz
nickel-plated, low-resistance connectors
speaker-level and preamp inputs
preamp outputs
fuse rating: 20A x 2
4-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier

i can run it bridged for the fronts? seems like it will be good for that purpose

Yea, that should work fine. I sold quite a few of them many years back. Leaves about a bit over $400 now in the budget I would assume ?

I never said you would have to pay that amount. Do you really think I, of all people, would send you to an etailer hack for buying goods ?

Yea, $300 is silly for just front (the most important) drivers in your car. I only use one of these for my mid/tweeter: http://www.braxhifi.com/products/pro...tem_id=142173#
