I have found a pretty good deal i think on a Pioneer Model GM-X904 4 ch amp. The guy says it is rated at like 800 watts. Is this amp woth investing in? I am buying speakers to go in all of my factory holes, inculding the separeates up front-i know this is a lot of wqattage, so i'll have to keep it turned down. What do you guys think?

it depends on how much u want to spend.......its a bit on the old side.....but as long as it gets the job done.....i guess its ok......i highly doubt that its an 800 watt amp though....u better watch out for those e-bay ripper offers! ....... www.crutchfield.com has lots of great info on car audio

Definitely NOT!!! They stopped making this amp in 1997 or 1998. And according to my May/June 1997 Car Stereo Review this amp is rated at 200 watts. 50 W x 4 into 4 ohms.

This guy is either completely misinformed (a nice way of saying stupid) or a liar!

Find another amp...I think you'll be very disapointed with this one.

Let me re-phrase something. You may like this amp on the off-chance it works as well as it did when it was first made. Back then it was a very decent amp. But who knows who's had it and how it was treated, etc. I would feel more comfortable if he was the original owner, which he obviously isn't.
