02 maxima where's a good ground?
I got an amp going in protection mode and I can't figure out why. I replaced all wires and speakers are good. Right now I have my amp mounted in back of the fold out seat. Its grounded in the trunk, right behind if u were sitting in the back seat driver side. There's a bolt and nut there.

I know plenty of people, including myself, with a strut tower ground for years and never an issue.
Local audio shop also recommends either frame or strut tower.

Others will also say seat belt bolts, and they 'work', but hey are also covered in loctite/teflon/etc. also doesn't make it right.
Where are the measurements both still and moving shown ? I would definitely be interested in the read.

Because someone does something it makes it right ? Or proper ? Because it works (for some) makes it right ? Or proper ? If I just shoot a self tapper through painted sheet metal in the trunk and it 'works' does that it make it correct or something that should be recommended ? Both are reputable sites with several people with very high powered systems stating that the strut tower is a great mounting point.
Why you mad?
You can post links showing what you're talking about. I'm done with the homework.

Actually the strut tower is a very good grounding point just remove one of the 14mm nuts then sand down to the metal apply some dielectric grease then bolt your ground down tight.idk what this other guy is talking about but the strut tower does not move! If you want to do it differently buy a ground block locate a area then drill a hole sand the area then use nuts and bolts to fasten it to the car.
