Kenwood KVT-910DVD

I really interested in this unit. Does anyone here have it? I'm wondering how much you paid and if you know where I can get a good deal? Thanks.

The Kenwood KVT910DVD is discontinued from Kenwood. It is replaced by the KVT911DVD. I hear Maximadave is making deals on them.

Unless you want a display I would wait for the new models to come in at the beginning of next month....

Dave,

I have already sold the Pioneer deck that I had and I am actually considering jumping back to Kenwood. The Pioneer stuck out of my dash and that got on my nerves. At least the Kenwood fits flush and looks good. Is Kenwood going to come out with some new MP3 players soon? What are some other brands of CD players that WON'T stick out of the dash on a 3rd Gen Maxima? The new deck will be going in there instead of the 5th Gen.

The Eclipse AV5101 fits flush in my dash perfectly. It should fit the same in yours.

I just talked to my Kenwood rep yesterday. The only difference between the 910/911 is cosmetics and the 911DVD has Sirius Satelite radio!

Really? That's sweet! I guess I just have to wait. I have a feeling the cosmetic differences will be a lot better. You just let me know when I can purchase one. I'll be saving up until then. =)

Dave,

When will they be hitting the stores? You mentioned the Eclipse CD player. My friend has a 55430 and it sticks out of his dash in his 4Runner. Will it do the same in mine?

You may want to tell your friend to take his 4Runner back to wherever he had his deck install at. Eclipse decks are iso-mountable in the dash of a 4Runner and will fit flat in the dash just like his stock stereo.

Hey MaximaDave... do you know if the screen in the new KVT-911 will be fully motorized?

NO ...sorry
It's going to be just like the 910, motorize out and manual flip up.

i guess you dont feel the same way, but i think we benefit from having the kenwood being a manual fip up/down.. when its open it blocks all the controls for the heat and a/c. (at least in the 4th gen). this way you can just move it outta the way to adjust your temp controls, and then flip it back up.

What you say is true. It can be convenient having the screen being manual. But it's just not as cool having the whole screen auto. You know, to get those oohs and ahhs from your passengers.

I know someone selling the 910DVD for $1,800 new in the box.

http://www.importmix.com/mb/showthre...=&threadid=556

It's on a local Import Website called importmix.com if you do register please use airmattdog as your referral..

Just thought I'd let you know.

I think if you mount the player in 2nd space instead ofthe top one.. then it wont block the controls ;-)
