Any help to fix my gap promblem with the gxe dash kit

Hello forum well here my problem I have the gxe dash kit and I have a gap at the bottom. I tried use abs plastic and made a template to go around the radio but the dash kit sticks out a the bottom.

have pics??? are you using a trim ring on the outside of your stereo?

im interested in the gxe kit...but im reading many instances of gaps.

Don't make a ring. Just glue a strip behind the trim. Hot glue suffices. This is an old picture but you get the idea.

Yes I made a template to go around my radio but another member said not to make a trim ring so I will try to glue a piece at the bottom this weekend and see how that looks. So with my trim ring I have a gap at the bottom and gxe kit will not sit flush at the bottom
