CDA-5755 owners look here!

If anyone has the install instructions for their CDA-5755 I would greatly appreciate a copy. I will pay for shipping and even pay for your time if need be. I have some questions about how to interface it with the CVA-1005 and the CDA that I bought on E-Bay did not come with install instructions.

So who wants to help me out?

Thanks,
Del

I don't have the CDA but I have the 1005 and know all about it, maybe I can help. What's your question? Or try www.alpineusa.com

The CDA is a digital EQ... and it has 3 RCA pre-outs. I was just wondering which set of Pre-Outs should I use the set on the brain for the CVA or the ones on the CDA itself. The CDA is AI-Net Compatible, but I still don't know if any changes that I make to sound from the CDA will be effective unless I use the RCA's out of that unit.

If the main reason for buying the CDA-5755G was to use the EQ then I would connect your RCA's to it. You'll have much more control that way than with the 1005. Even if that wasn't the main reason (and you just wanted to fill the extra DIN slot) I would still use the "outs" on the CDA for your RCA's

What you want to do is connect the CDA to the CVA1005 with the AI-net cable, then use the RCA out of the CDA. Using the AI-net will allow you to control the CDA from the screen of the 1005. When you connect that make sure you flip the small toggle switch on the bottom of the brain as per the instructions or else your FM/AM will not work. If you have the CD or DVD changer that will plug into the CDA in the changer in plug and the AI-net plug will go to the CVA-1005. I had my CVA1005 hooked to my ERG-A320 EQ and I could control the unit from the screen as well as on the 320's din display. I'm trying to sell the unit now as I'm doing a digital suround and have no use for it, I'm asking $200 if you know anyone interested. Hope that helps you out.

Sounds like 2 very solid responses you gave me. Thanks for your time to type this all out. It is greatly appreciated.

Anyone else wanna chime in before I print this?

Thanks,
