Where can i run a remote/power wire in my I30?
Hey guys, i own a 1996 Infiniti I30 and i was wondering, im running an amp to work on my stock deck.. Im using a line-out/RCA convertor to get RCA input into the amp.
Now, what sources can i use to get a remote turn-on signal to my amp? I heard you can run a wire to the fuse "Audio" in the fuse box, or, i also heard about the ciggarette lighter, and others. Which one is the easiest to wire through without ripping apart panels and stuff?
Also, which side should i run the power wire? Left or Right? And i believe on Maximas too, there are 2 tabs you pull right under the ledge of the seat that removes the whole seat bottom so you can run it through the trunk...
So any help? And any places to run remote wire according to their places? thanks alot guys..

Sounds like you're installing a system for the first time. and on an infinity?!! ballsy i must say.
Infinity has the BOSE headunit right? You should have seperate amps for your stock speakers. You can find a remote wire off of one of those amps. If you stick your head in the trunk and look up, there should be two amps there for the rear right/left speaker. Right the power wire on the same side as the battery (easiest and shortest path)
