BOSE system, thats horrible, the new head and amp would blow those bose speakers. Did you know that BOSE speakers have tiny light bulbs in them which divert some of the power so taht bose cannot be blown, yet i took an MTX AMP and blew the crap out of the bose sub in a moment.

well you can put a new Head unit in but id say get MB Quart Reference, or Polk MOMO speakers instead, you will have porbably one ofthe best systems in town.

Re: BOSE radio??

I dont think the other guy answered your question. It is indeed possible to add a new HU to replace the BOSE. I've seen it and actually had a chance to hear this and it sounded better. Most likely, I'm going this route.

I did the same thing, I changed the HU, added subs and kept the Bose speakers, Now 4 monthes later 2 out of the 6 Bose speakers are blown. It did sound fairly good for a while, but I would budget for new speakers in the near future.
