I have and 89 Maxima and was wondering if anyone knows how to replace the front speaker in the door panel. Does the door panel have to come off? or can I just try to pop the grill of the speaker off and get at it that way? Thanks for any detailed assistance anyone can provide...

I just did this....i dont think the speaker itself in the box you're gona see when u take the door panel off is a standard size speaker. I did away with the box and made a MDF plate in place of it and stuck some 6.5's in there
A 4" speaker is closest to the bose u're gona get i think. i measured it but im not sure its the 'standard' 4".
