Got everything installed... but

Hey, i wanted to thank everyone for all of their help. I have gotten everything installed in my 98 maxima. Well, all the stuff is wired, but i do not have my 4 gauge wire going to the battery yet. My friend and I had to stop their because i don't know how to get through the firewall, or is their a hole i can use to get there?

What i did was i went to walmart and bought a SCOSCHE 300-1100 watt duel amp kit. It had all the wires i need. Anyway, i have a 4gauge wire going to the trunk, then it goes into a distrubtion block, and i have 2 8 gauge wires going to my 2 amps, my alpine for my sub and kenwood for my speakers. I am going to have some 16 gauge speaker wires go from the kenwood to my 2 rear speakers. And everything is mounted already to my friend really hooked me up. Saved me 200 bucks. My eclipse cd player is installed now and it is sweet, and also my 4 boston acoustic speakers. Thanks for all the help.

I should have pics by tonight.

Hey Bryan,

Really awesome to hear that you decided to do the stuff yourself. I'm sure it saved you alot of money. As for the power wire through the firewall, I agree with pearl93, you can just find a safe clear part on the firewall and drill a hole through. Make sure to check both sides for any lines, wires, or anything you might hit. When you do drill, go easy,,,,taking care not to hit anything on mistake. If you take your time, you should be OK. Run the wire through, and if you have a grommet, use it on the hole. If you don't have a grommet for the hole, what I have done before is wrapped the wire with some electrical tape about 3 inches on either side of the hole. That way you have protection against the wire rubbing on the bare metal edges of the hole. Again, glad to hear it went well, and can't wait to see some pics!!! Congrats!!,,,,,,DMAN
