How do i know if my amp is "wearing down"?
Like i have posted before, i have an alpine v12 mrv-100m powering 1 10inch kicker comp vr. Now, for me to get good bass out of my sub, i have to have the BASS EQ turned ON on the alpine. I have had the amp for 3 years. My gain is probably around the .70 area on the circle. I know the higher you run your gain, the more likely it will wear it down quicker. Am I in the position to start looking for a new amp to power my sub. Obviously it would be a mono amp because its only 1 sub.
thanks

Anyway, you should go with a mono amp for one sub. The amp will run more effecient since you won't have to bridge it. It is better for the amp...
