i mounted a home dvd unit in the trunk. it is being powered by the cigarrete lighter and a ac/dc converter and the electric line runs to the dvd unit in the trunk. when i press the accelerator, the engine noise gets really bad. how do i get rid of this? i know there's a guy who has a pc in the trunk for his mp3's... i'm wondering how he's powering his w/o the whizzing noise coming from the speakers.

Are your speakers whizzing?

What the othewr guy did was buy and DC/DC converter from COSTCO, I think he said it was ~$30. Then you can run a seperate power line from the battery to the converter to the DVD player. Inexspensive, but professional.
