Anyone who has installed aftermarket HU

I did a search and didnt find an answer on this. All I need to know is what type of adapter I need to get to put an aftermarket HU in place of my stock Bose HU. I have the wire harness, pocket thing that goes under the HU, and the antenna adapter but isnt there a flat piece that the HU and pocket slide through to cover any gaps between the HU and pocket? Any links or stores where I can get this piece is a big help.Thanx

I dont have the dble din though. It is just a regular size HU. I needed to get the pouch pocket thing to go under the HU but I think there will still be some space between the two. NO?

But as for replacing the headunit, its a Double DIN headunit. Any headunit that fits the ISO DIN can fit. You can also fit an ISO DIN headunit in the fold down pocket space. To make the antenna connection, you must by a "nissan diversity adapter". I got mine from Circuit City for about $10. I do not know if an aftermarket harness adapter is available, but I chose not to use one. You will have to run new wires for the speakers anyway. So you will only have to tap the constant 12 volt, switched 12 volt, power antenna trigger, illumination and find a ground (I will post wire colors as soon as I find them).

Sorry but this does not answer my question. I need to know if there is a plate that will fill up the gap between the HU and the pocket. Not the fold down pocket. I am leaving that alone.

Nope... I picked up a used Maxima stereo trim cover from a wrecking yard, and cut it to fit that space.

You had a separate pocket piece that fit under the HU?

In past installs, I've been able to purchase Metra kits that are fit to the manufacturers specs on different makes of automobiles. They always had the sleeve to fit the HU, and in the same piece had a pocket piece or plate to cover up the other bottom DIN-sized socket. These I assume would have a little piece to go between the top and bottom.

I have seen another member with a custom-fitted bottom piece:
