This is a great idea for those who want more but want the stock look. Please recommend some things for me, I am a big boston fan and was thinking a boston 8 or something. Any creative thoughts would be appreciated, and I do have a tweeter down the street from me

Thanks!!!
Jason

If you want an 8" sub I have the JL 8W3's. Good sounding sub. Boston wise I only carry their components and coax speakers.

The 8W3 is a remarkable 8-inch subwoofer with very long excursion capability, designed to extract maximum performance from higher power levels. This speaker works extremely well in sealed and ported enclosures and its dual voice coil design gives the user a high degree of application flexibility.

Nominal Diameter: 8 inches (200 mm)
Continuous Power Handling: 125 Watts
Voice Coil: 1.43" diameter, 4-layer, Kapton former
Available Configurations: Dual 2 ohm, Dual 4 ohm or Dual 6 ohm
Xmax (one-way, linear): 0.38" (9.5 mm)
Sealed Enclosure Range: 0.30-0.50 cu.ft. (8.5-14.0 liters)
Ported Enclosure Range: 0.60-0.90 cu.ft. (17.0-25.5 liters)
VRC˛ Technology: YES

No. It is recommended that a sealed enclosure works best for the Eclipse subs. Have an 8 or a 10" sub fiberglassed in the left rear corner of your trunk. Sound quality is better in a custom made sealed enclosure than an infinite baffle type sub. Differences are in a sealed enclosure your bass in tighter and infinite baffle has more of a slight "boom" to it. Infinte baffle subs do vary though.

Go with something like this:

JL 10W3 in a custom enclosure made for the 4th gen Maxima
