Didn't you say you could not understand how people could run only 100 watts? You might end up in that club! Just kidding. There has to be a catch. Notice he did not list if it was RMS,What Ohm load you would get 1000 watts, or what voltage it puts out 1000 watts at.
So yeah it may put out 1000 watts if it is being fed 16 volts and is wired to 0.5 ohms........How long do you think a Pyramid amp would last doing that?

I say spend the extra $$$ and get a better amp.

where did you get it for $77?
ive been looking at them. but i would rather spend alittle more on quality. the reasons why are 1. sound quality 2. effiency 3. Over heating and 4. the warrenty.
anyway, i know a few kids that run them and theyre pretty good but i just dont think that they are a distint as mine, could be 10" vs 12, then again they just want to make noise.
what kind of sub are you running?

Well it depends. On the one hand if it sucks it was only $77 who cares. On the other hand Who knows how much power it will put out in "real world" situations. I am not trying to rain on your parade. I have a freind who has his CV Vega series running off a Pioneer HU that lets you bridge the rear channels ( I have also done this with a W3) and he gets more bass then some people with real systems.

Just don't expect
A. Reliability
B. SQ
C. 1k watts

Dont expect to get even close to that. It is Pyramid, which is usually reffered to when talking about crap amps. What it comes down to is you are going to have a great big heatsink with a tiny amp in your trunk. Look around at quality amps rated at 1000 watts and then compare price.......remember you get what you pay for.

Ditto..in car amps more than anything, if it seems too good to be true it is. Save your money and get a real amp that you can rely on, they will go above and beyond what they are rated at...

kicker..if you can find a zr they should be fairly inexpensive, they don't make them any more. I have two 240s in my trunk. Rated at 120x2 @ 2, birth reocrd on one was 356@ 2 ohms, and the other I don't have the record, but it has even more juice...
