Anybody have a Car Jukebox?

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with these units:

Car Jukebox

If so, any problems with skipping, etc.? Is it easy to transfer files to?

hello suds
unfortunately, haven't had any experience with that particular unit, but kenwood makes what is called a music keg at a little higher cost that goes with their head units that does the same....have used them and they are great really, depending on bitrate of course..haven't had any issues with skipping on their units at all..it is kinda a pain loading the keg though takes awhile to load everything from pc..(music)
if it is the same as a music keg, I would say go for it just watch where you mount it..try to put it in a spot with the least vibration for better assurance.
they sell the unit your looking into at best buy, and though I don't really care for what they sell, I do like the fact that if you don't like something you buy there, you can take it back no questions asked...

yea, they are a decent "starter" line developed by rockford fosgate..have never been a fan of rockford though honestly..about 10 years ago, I used their amps for competition and had nothing but problems with them..these were the older punch 150 amps before they were labeled as HD's. they had a very short tempered input stage and fried very easy at least in my installs.this was when high voltage outputs were introduced and they just couldn't take it really.I know several people who swear by RF and I value everyone's opinions, just not a fan personally that's all

I agree with you on the RF granite that what my subs run on I would not recommend RF to any unless they Lowered their prices.

thanks h and glad to coverse back and forth with others..although I am not a fan of Rockford, they are probably the best in the industry as far as keeping "car audio" afloat....they endorse a ****-load of sanctions, have top notch buisness skills as far as marketing.I honestly think that IASCA or any other sanctioned event of the such, would not be where they are today if RF didn't jump in to the scene with both feet..my only drawbacks to RF is a reliability issue and over the years, I'm sure that has changed to some degree as well.I am just not the "bandwagon" type really and had a personal situation with RF that has made me decide to steer away from them.I don't discourage others in their beliefs, just my opinion so to speak..
I started with them, then jumped into a no known company then called lanzar with a blue amp called opti-drive people were like WTF is that...then went into soundstream when a amp called a D100 came afloat all the way up till last year, yet again, another personal issue that keeps me from using there products again "ever" to now a no name called monitor1...well......was till last year...lol..a friend of mine took 4th ar world finals with his girlfriend's car using them...
I still believe soundstream makes awesome product's but if customer support screws me 1 time, I am done...kinda short fused I know, but I feel that is what makes a company who they are..I used them for 10 years though without 1 hicup till the end...from all the amps and litarally every single product they make or have made...lol..amp wise anyways..still think to this day that the ss10r sub is probably the best sounding and most versitale sub there is. it can be played sealed, ported, bandpass (many different ways) IB isobaric and even AP and sound awesome...
speakers is another story all together.......lol
I'll shut up now this could be a long day if I don't.........lmao

thanks for the kind offer h, but honestly don't have time for it..there are several others that are great for the same thing allready..I float around to some of them mostly carsound and elite and people there are really good on advice as well..
I just recently bought a 98 gxe and this is why i'm here really, just seen the car audio section of this forum and had to check it out too...lol.
car audio is more of a hobby for me than a buisness really...I live in a fairly big market for car audio as far as sales go so it is not really practical to do the "shop" thing really...always wanted to though..unfortunately compitition has kinda gone out the window around here so competing now is going to be difficult (thinking on competing with max)
