Well, my Alpine amp died the other day after about 10 years of use. It was a fairly small amp only pushing 30W/channel. Now, I'm in the market of buying another small amp just to power a set of Kenwood components in the front. I want a reliable amp, like the Alpine. I was looking at the new Kicker amp KX120.2. I was wondering if anybody else had Kicker amps and how good are they? I heard good reviews on these amps. But, I cannot make up my mind until I get some feedback on my fellow Max members! Anybody? Thanks!

 

kicker has a good reputation for their amps and speakers and although I haven't owned kicker amps, I have several friends who have or had in the past who have not had any problems with them.probably a little better than Alpine, but if it lasted 10 years, hell, I don't think I would change companies....if your getting a good deal on the kicker or need it for reasons that the alpine's now can't do, then I would go for it.I just personally think kicker is overpriced but thats my opinion really...can't say they are bad amps though.just think maybe you should look at other options unless it is a "steal" type of a deal....
