Amps, etc

If I got a 2-channel amp for my subs instead of a mono amp would that be ok? I don't think that it will make a big difference, but just want to make sure.

depends on subs really...as for using a 2 channel, it is fine but you have to watch the impedence's of the subs..have to match up the amp to the subs being used..
example, if you were to have a pair of dual 4 ohm subs, you could wire them parallel per sub and parallel to each other and recieve 4 ohm..o.k. for any typical amp
now if you had dual 2's then it wouldnt possibly work will have either 2 ohm load or 8 which "would work" but output won't be as effective for the amp
you can also wire them in "stereo" as well....
Really need more input on the subs you have and what amps are in question to be able to tell you if it is actually "ok"

it will work, as long as the amp supports the ohm load. also incase you didnt know, the wattage per sub is the RMS devided by the number of subs on the channel.

however mono amps are more efficient and built for subs, especally class D's

I have a MTX 4122 forsale, let me know if your interested, it doesnt do me any good. i bought it off ebay for tweeters but then decided not to do that setup and i couldnt back out, i emailed the guy, but he didnt want to repost it, so im sitting with a amp that does me no good and i need to money
