I guess my Dad and I were some of the course workers who were scared of gbauer! We were working heat 4 and that car was definitely making more tire noise than any other car in that heat. (EDIT: Wait a minute, I guess someone else was driving that car in heat 4 since you guys couldn't have been working the course when I was?)

I should add I wasn't as scared though as I was of the guy in the red Subaru SVX! That dude wiped out one of the black boxes at the start. The day before, he wiped out on the first turn of the AI course.

Turned out to be a fun day and was sure glad it didn't really rain. I was impressed with the Maximas and might have to think about taking mine out some day if I ever get some suspension mods.

I'll probably stick with running the Miata stock, though the ES class seems pretty competitive. I'm just doing it for fun anyhow.

what were you driving?

BAUER and SOONERFAN were driving the 4th heat. the rest of us drove 3rd.

Yeah, that SVX was a crappy driver and a nasty-sounding car, for sure.

I was driving a red 1992 Mazda Miata. I was 97ES and my Dad was 197ES. We drove in the third heat. We were working at Station 2 (near the non-optional slalom at the top of the course that threw a bunch of people off, including me, in the third heat).

Ah, so I guess it was Bauer I saw making all that tire noise.

Gabe, only one shot of you and it's in the "unknown class" folder

I guess the photographer left after 3rd heat because there are no DSP pics.

that shot takes a lot of practice...longer exposure to get the effect of speed but you have to follow the car exactly or the car will blur
