AMSOIL products:for first timer
note: i didn't say anything about the dealer. The dealer maybe great (talkinghorse was great) but I will probably never purchase their products again online.
Their packing was poor, oil spilled almost every bottle shipped to me. I haven't gotten to open the oil (cuz i don't need it yet) but i think it's not seal like any other bottle. It seems that someone just has a hose and pour it into bottle, close the cap and that was it. There's no way the mobil one or any other brand bottle would spill like this with their proper sealed bottle before closing the bottle caps.
Anyone else experience the same?
.. actually, do you guys see the sealed bottles or just plast cap with no seals under it? I just thought of that i'm afraid to put the unseal oil into my car hmm. who knows what's in there. Lemme email talkinghorse.

Well
I got a package like that about a year ago. But upon further inspection, the oil probably came from another package and permeated my package.
All bottles were slimy, but no cracked and tops in perfect condition.
My buddy here just bought three cases and all came in perfect condition.
Also, you have to consider if the shipping company dropped it and so on. If your bottles inside are damaged, I would suspect that more than "poor packaging" by AMSOil.
I would not let this isolated incident deter you.

First let me state that I appreciate feedback, both good and bad. CSNV recently purchased some motor oil, atf and a couple oil filters from me. The products were ordered promptly and I had them drop-shipped from the nearest AMSOIL Product Center as I do with all orders. His package was shipped the same day I placed the order and he received it promptly. CSNV reports that when he received his package, several quarts of the oil had leaked some oil.
AMSOIL packages their oil in plastic containers which are specifically designed for fluids. CSNV's assertion that the bottles are not sealed is incorrect. The caps on the quart bottles contain a seal which is integrated into the underside of the cap.
AMSOIL products leave the Product Center in tip-top condition. However, once the packages are handed over to the carrier, neither AMSOIL nor I can control what happens. I won't speculate as to what happened to his shipment, but because of the timing of the order his package was in the possession of the carrier over the extended memorial Day weekend. Even though the boxes are labeled "This side up" csnv's package was obviously laid on it's side for an extended period of time.
People buy AMSOIL because of the quality of the product. People buy AMSOIL from me because I offer the lowest possible pricing and outstanding customer service. I sell several thousand dollars worth of oil each month to people all over the US and Canada and it is extremely rare that a problem arises. And when a problem does arise, I correct it immediately...and that's why I have an outstanding reputation and a near-100% retention rate with my customers.
Once csnv alerted me of the problem I contacted AMSOIL immediately. AMSOIL will replace the leaking containers at no cost to CSNV, but he has declined. The offer still stands and hopefully I can make it right for him.
