so my car is in to be fixed for some brake issues which they didnt fix right last time. and my engine light was on due to my drop register mod i did last weekend from the track...also asked for crank sensor recall to be performed. Ok here it goes you guys will love it...well they called sayin they dont wanan do any work to it cuz i modded my car....they said yeah i see you have your firewall drilled, car lowered, and a front strut bar on..now all these were on since day 2 i got my car and they never complained about it. so they fixed the brake problem and i wanted them to clear out my engine light. well they called me sayin "yeah, so who worked on yoru car, seems like someone cut off a wire harness goin to your trans and messed up your car while installin the strut bar" i was like WTF im gonan go check this out and pop my hood before i do something stupid at the dealr. i popped the hood and i saw that drop register mod was tampered with. someone yanks the wires out bend soem metal around it and the service manager was like yeah mustve broke all that while installin the strut bar. so i told him to bring me a ****in 14mm socket and wrench and showed him how to do it and i had it on every time i came in for service and reminded him that those wires were always there and he said yeah i remember...but he kept insistin i did it...now i know either he or the mechanic workin on it did it cuz the service guy said but well fix it for you for $180 man that got me sooo mad that they screwed up my car and tried to charge me for something i didnt do, and not only that they wont do my recall because they said my car seems to be fine. so i started cussin and bishin at him in front of like 30 customers and told him "you better FU@king fix my car now or imma get you fired." he said were not fixin anything you voided the warranty...then i got my cousin who works at the dealership got him and the mechanic workin on my car fired..threatened the general manager i will sue them for tamperin with my car and blamin the faults on me. my cousin backed me up gave me a brand new 2k4 max to drive home and said hell take care of it...most likely they gonna give me a full refund on the 2k3 and im keepin this 2k4...i raised so much h3ll today there customers started leavin...man i wish i had it on video words cannot explain

 

First of all, it's drop-resistor mod. Secondly, if your cousin works at the dealership, why didnt you get him to fix all your problems? IMO, they wont be giving you refund on the 2k3. How long have you had the car for?

What exactly does your cousin do at this dealership that he couldn't "hook" you up with service to begin with, rather than you getting into an argument with service manager and mechanic? And they (Nissan North America or the dealership itself) are gonna give you a full refund? And your gonna buy the 04?

 

I doubt the dealer will take your car back. You should of talked to your cousin first to begin with and none of this would of happened.

 

man you guys are not workin with me...i did talk to my cousin and we sat down with the general manager of nissan. got the service manager and mechanics who worked on my car fired for messing around with my car and trying to profit. The GM said he will put me in this 2k4 they gave me. What kinda dealer gives you a brand new 2k4 anyway for a loaner? as for the full refund that is in process for all you pessimistic pppl...you just dont know how to go around in life. just stand there in front of service ppl and agree. Me, I dont care what others think i will go all out if someone is tryin to F me over. Its either full refund for nissan or they get a law suit from me for damagin my car on purpose to gain profit

 

oh and my cousin is the finance manager there. and no not nissan america. that specific dealer will be paying for my car and give the money that i already paid back and put me in a new car

 

I believe you on this. A lady i work with here got a 6 speed G35, drove it for i don't know how many weeks and all of a sudden she started driving a loaded 6speed automatic se. She said that the G35 wasn't comfortable and was causing her back pains or something so Nissan bought it back and she got the maxima.

I don't think you'll get the 2k4 for free, but you'll start out clean on it. Dealers have that kind of power. They'll make that money back on some other knuckle heads.

 

yeah thats wut they told me...how they amke so much money on trade ins anyway so theyll just give me full refund on my car and sell it to someone and they wont even lose money so the manager and sales ppl said i should not worry and theyll put me in a new car for no extra money and ill just be payin regular montly payments as i was except theyll cut a year off since i already paid a year worth of itq

I seriously dont think the dealer will refund your 2003 Maxima that you have been driving for a year. If they do refund you, please post back here and tell me which dealership you go to so that I can change my car every year.

I went to the Rosenthal Nissan in Tysons for the recent crankcase sensor recall (my first time there with this car). To my surprise, the advisor was very pleasant to talk to. He offered to reprogram me ECU's (the previous dealer said they could not do it when they performed the tsb for the lack of power & hestitation) and had my car washed and cleaned too. I had my Injen's intake on (did a Dyno earlier) and he didn't mentioned nothing about it. The parts for the recall are on back order so I have to come back again. Believe me I feel your anger regarding your issues...but you need to calm down or else they can really F*ck your car even though they perform the work as you'd requested. I heard too many stories regarding how the mechanic can really messed up your car in the long run as a payback. Anyway, good luck with your situation and I hope the outcome will be good!

 

True that, price being the same, Im pimpin a G35. Most 04's Im seeing around here are mid-high 20's.

Gooey, glad you listened to my advice in the other thread and raised hell. That's the only way some dealers will listen to you. Oh, if I was you, I would never buy Nissan again, considering what a pain in the a$$ your car was.

Wow, I can't believe they would pull this kind of stunt on people with the service. If that was the case, Nissan Of America will pull out their franshicsing rights and the state of Maryland will shut them down for such illegal practice if evidence is established. Well Good luck on your new Max.

 

Hey it's getting soo bad with these dealers. When I am forced to take mine in (to the dealer) that I make a point of walking the SM around my car and say "there is absolutely nothing wrong with my car.... see; and that's the way I want it back". I also tell him that it is driving perfect with no mysterious oil leaks etc. I ask him "do you agree" and when he say yes then he knows I am holding him personnally accountable.

I'm not an a** but the SM knows when I come, he helps me, not the advisor.

You could also start breaking out your digital camera in the service lane (in front of them) taking pics of the exterior, interior, and under the hood, etc. When they ask what you are doing, tell them you are documenting the condition of your car as it enters the service department. You could even go a step further and video the car running, A/C working, starting etc etc.

I fortunately have not had the problems many on this board have, but I get pretty pi**ed reading some of these threads. Good luck.

Glad to hear you got the situation handled. I purchased my '03 Max from Herb Gordon; haven't had any problems. Is your 2004 Nissan Maxima gonna be a 6-speed? Why not opt for 350Z, I am assuming insurance is more expensive than a '04 Max?
