BAD experiance with Aamco Transmission

I took my baby to Aamco to have the transmission rebuilt. It took those idiots 3 weeks! "Um, we got the wrong part in. Well, we still can't get it to run right." And my favorite: "This is kind of a rare car." It's a Buick Regal not a freakin' Bugatti!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm scared to death that the rebuilt tranny will screw up, because it is under warranty and these morons will get thier hands on my car agian. I have NEVER had an experience this bad at a shop.

Was it a manual or automatic because I am in need of a manual rebuilt and have tried to avoid aamco because I know they charge like 200+ dollars an hour for labor from past experience.

I'd stay away from any nationally owned transmission shop imo. Ask in the regional area for some decent experienced trans shops.

Yes, AAMCO sucks. I had my tranny rebuilt by them as well and they took a week too long. Also, when I picked up the car they hadn't bled the clutch and I got on the interstate and couldn't shift. They also blew my starter (which they replaced for free since I gave them a lot of ****). Cost me way too much too.

The car has an automatic transmission.

Little late for that, already paid for it a couple of weeks ago when the car was finished. Besides, I didn't feel like having the cops called. I probably will go through the BBB tho.
