Hey Corey, still no word on the grille or refund? Can you at least give out your current contact info (phone #)? You owe people, like myself, who have paid for items not received that much at the least.

Read My Thoughts
Quote:
And yes, I do doubt SOME of what you are saying. The whole bank account thing, I can empathize, but I also take a pro-active stance. Money has been taken from my account as well. It was only $100 but I took the steps to ensure that it didn't happen again, (And got it back from the bank). It can be prevented. You mentioned you had it happen multiple times. For the love of Pete, it doesn't cost a dime to file affidavits with your local FBI office. They can direct you from there and watch your accounts. In my case, they caught the forgery scam artist. I can relate to this, but many times at thousands of dollars each time? There were/are ways to get that back!

Swee-
Trish
The end result is that RedlineMax is closing and I empathize like I would empathize with anyone going through difficult times. But there is absolutely no way for me to read the post and not ask myself if you are for real. Trish, I was so relieved when you responded because I thought I was the only one missing the logic in how all this happened. Hell, I drop a quarter and I spin around for it. Redline was defrauded thousands? on several ocassions? Corey, you got nerve posting that because it only highlights your volnerability and inefficiency as a businessman.

You might be tempted to add me to your list of bashers, but I too am speaking objectively. I have not done any business with you, but would have never considered it after noting your lack of response to customers in this very thread.

Well Corey, sorry it had to end up like this. I'm sure you'll be happier not having to deal with the BS and going back to spending time on you rather than others

To all the rest - whatever you may think about Corey, if someone was "ripped off" it was unintentional. If he has one flaw it was that he bit off more than he could chew and was not very organized throughout it all - but I know Corey and know he would never intentionally try to screw anyone.

Trust me, there were occasions when I got frustrated with him for not getting parts to me on time, or forgetting to meet me someplace, or whatever - but it wasn't because he's a bad guy or malicious - simply a bit overwhelmed, forgetful, and disorganized.

So, while he had some tough breaks and maybe wasn't meant to be a small businessman, here's to Corey for being a genuinely nice guy who tried his best to do the right thing, even if it sometimes didn't get done.

A shame it had to end like this, but frankly Corey you're probably better off. See you around and still rockin the RM banner at the track for you - though I took the phone/website off so nobody tries to call

I was just wondering if you still have any inventory up there. I am looking for the sarona hood. If you have any in stock and would maybe be able sell for a good price. Thanks for any information and sorry to hear about everything.

I think that picture and what Irish said really nails down what was going on at Redline. That picture was taken at June 16th @ 5:16am, it was a header install on Chernmax's car and represents the kind of time/work that Corey spent/had to spend on doing what he loves to do istead of being able to literally micro-manage the business operations of the company while meeting up with the demand of getting customers cars finished.

There are a lot of reasons why things happen the way that they did and I respect Corey's decision for not saying so, or revealing more information to why he had to shut down Redline. You guys still have my support and I hope one day we can see Redline make a return back to the automotive tuning/performance community.

He's some pics from the Redline Meet back over the summer, good times!

Running a business ain't no joke. I'm sure companies such as Stillen, Cattman, and Jim Wolf go through the same stuff or take certain precautions.

Corey,

I am so sorry, I had no clue you where going through all the trials and tribulations which you spoke of. Reminds me of the first time I came to your place a couple days before the first and last MEGA MEET this year. You helped my get with your contacts to get me a new front bumper for my 03 maxima (Silver). The guys did a great job (by the way) ! I don't think I ever told you (shame on me ). What I am getting to is how busy you where not only helping me, but helping a dozen others too. I remember sharing a conversation with you and it went something like this (now don’t quote me on this), I had about 2 hours of sleep and probably won't get none tonight. Corey, WOW! I thought I went hard, but I had no clue . Well, just wanted to let you know if there is anything that I can do for you just let me know .

He's not going to. All he wanted to do was make a cowardly little quip and withdraw.

I thought he was a good guy too - he sat in my chair at my home one day..

Then he ordered a load of brake pads and decided that paying for them was optional.....and he ordered them full well knowing he was done.

To the Supra owner who got pads from Corey...your welcome...I hope you enjoy riding on what are essentially STOLEN parts.

Where is my money Corey?? Oh - that's 'business' huh...

Quote: Sad to read all of this, remembering when you guys were a much smaller operation that supplied & designed hard to get items for this community. Redline & CM were the only two major players providing aftermarket support for us.
that's the sad truth too... where else do we get parts for our cars? i wanted to get a cattman y-pipe and clear corners for my 2001 max so bad.... does anybody know anywhere else (reliable) that we can go

DAMMIT.. haha, you beat me to it. Clear corners are on eBay, and lets face it CE/RM quality was decent but not the greatest.

You've always had to call.. That's how it's always been since I've had my car, which is for quite a while.

I remember the days when RedlineMax was one of VERY FEW companies supporting the small, passionate, and fickle Maxima community. Very sorry to see yet another reputable vendor fall. Especially one that pioneered custom products.

I have to agree... I dealt with Corey a few times and even if mistakes were made they were rectified. This is a loss for the community.
