Bad experience with wheels4car.com

I had a bad experience with wheels4car that I thought I'd share, to keep everyone else from making the mistake...

I originally bought a set of RSL Mase wheels from them on December 2nd. The company (ie, some fat slob sitting in his basement running a drop-ship business) was supposed to email me within 48 hours as to the status of the order, whether it was in stock, whatever. 3 days later, I hadn't heard anything, so i emailed him and asked what was going on. No response, I figured the wheels were on their way (they were supposed to take a week to ship) so i just tried to ignore it. Well, around two weeks later, I still hadn't heard anything, i had emailed the guy three times, at both the sales address of wheels4car.com and his paypal address. I began looking and noticed that there was no contact information anywhere (besides an email address) on the whole damn site. I finally called paypal (i could not file a dispute online, as i had used a credit card instead of my account to order) who placed a claim on the order. Finally, 2 days later, I've received an email from paypal stating that the seller has acknowledged a refund, but the funds have not yet transferred over. I still haven't received an email from the actual seller.

Here's to hoping the money actually gets transferred, and the seller rots in hell. Don't ever deal with wheels4car.com.

thanks. he's still never put the money in his paypal account to transfer it back. i might still need to try to counter-credit it back through the credit card company...

Wow, I cant believe you actually clicked the purchase button on a site that looks like that. Only buy from reputable online sources. Good thing you paid with a credit card. Chances are youll get your money back, but it might take a while.

Make sure you file a claim with the CC company/bank before 30 days is up if paypal doesn't solve it...

Yeah, i kinda felt like a dumbass after looking around on the side after buying it, and not being able to find a phone number. Though i had looked around beforehand, and not seen a lot of complaints, so i figured it was another Joe Schmoe dropship business, and that the company would just bounce the wheels over to me no problem. Wrong. :P

Good news is, Paypal finally got the funds and sent me an email saying the money was re-credited it to the credit card. a day later, it showed up for certain, so everything's good now.
