getting bugs off
1500 grit sand paper, works every time
Just kidding. A safe alternative is pure car wash shampoo. Or if they are really stubborn (baked on for awhile), bug and tar remover. Whatever you use, let it soak a few minutes, letting the chemicals do the work instead of scrubbing which will cause scratches or swirls. Just put wax on after because it will remove the wax. Polishing before the wax would be good to put back the oils that are stripped, too.

Prep is the key here as well. Make sure that you have a number of coats of wax on the front end of your car. A bit of work now, but this will help in bug removal later.
Wash your car with warm water and car wash shampoo and let soak for a minute like mentioned above.
This should elp in removing bugs from your front end.

What is the best way to remove bugs from the front of my car? Soap and water can only do so much. Any suggestions?

WD40 works extremely well on bugs and road grime. The way I do it is:
1) Water down the surface.
2) Spray WD40 on the bugs/road grime
3) Let the WD40 stay on there for a couple of minutes.
4) Using a damp terry towel, gently wipe the surface clean of the contaminants.
5) Depending on how badly the bugs are concentrated, a second application of WD40 may be needed.
Works for me.
