Which are you supposed to do first after washing the car. Wax or caly bar?

Yup. The clay bar removes all contaminants from your paint - and wax too. So be sure not to reverse the order!

Clay bar first...wax last.

I just did the following this past weekend:

1) Washed the car
2) After hosing down the car, took a Japanese-brand clay bar to her, and hosed again
3) Dried with the trusty Absorber sheet
4) Used Meguiar's Swirl Remover & Deep Gloss Cleaner/Polish
5) Used Mothers California Gold Pure Carnauba Wax
6) Used Kit Scratch Out to remove the haze from the headlight lenses

It was a time-consuming pain, especially since I did everything by hand, but the results were worth it! The car ususally shines after a good washing, but it hasn't looked or felt like this for a while. The gloss is deep, everything is smooth to the touch, and the wax even has a pleasant berry smell (a lot of Mother's car care products have that smell which is nice).

I've always admired this white Civic coupe in my neighborhood because its owner keeps the car soooo clean. Now I can say the Maxima looks just as nice.

The headlights look great. The haze on the surface of the lenses that developed over the years is now gone.

I was going to try getting 3M Plastic Polish, but it isn't the easiest thing to find locally. When I was at either Auto Zone or Pep Boys, I noticed the Kit product and decided to give a try. It works.

Peace.
