Easiest way to clay a car?

I just got my PC and I have been thinking about purchasing this.

Does anybody have it and how well would it work?

The general opinion on that tool is that "we don't get it". Things like having to take out the clay and re-mold it flat to fit the pad every so often and lack of feel come to mind.

Using clay by hand just gives you more control and evenness I think. I personally wouldn't bother.

I agree with Bman. I have a PC and although I've never tried the clay bar attachment, I like doing clay by hand for the reasons mentioned above.

I orfered one of those pads and should g etit shortly. I think that by hand you can get good results but with the machine you should get even better results. My thoughts are that it will be more even and more importantly to me it will save a lot of time and energy as I will be claying 3-4 cars at once. For $20 it's something I will try and will post my experiences with later.

Keep us informed on how well it works.

I have a concern with that product, since the foam also rests on your car when applying the clay - the movement of the entire foam/clay assembly may dislodge dirt and dust (especially in the area's that the foam touches) and get "swirled" in by the foam onto the paint before the clay even gets a chance to pick it up.
