Oh No! i got some cleanign problems please help.

first my dad's 2001 maxima. i was getting gas ina canister for the lawn mower and i had to slam the breaks extreamly hard to avoid an accident, and the gas spilled. now to much but it has been 2 weeks and the smell is still very strong. how do i get this smell out? i treid air fresheners, but ti just smells like fake new car smell and a$$ now.

second, my brother drive me car andleft thewindows down over night. it was pouring that night and i came out to my car in the morning soaked. it smells kinda musty, and how to i got baout cleaning all the water up and that nasty smell during the hot summer days?

on the subject what air freshener do you use???

Depending on how lazy or active you are...you need both carpets/upholstry (sp?) deep cleaned, shampoo'd and steam cleaned. Thats the only way the smell of gas and water residue (mold shiat) will come out.

I am afraid that Bijan's correct. You are going to have to shampoo the carpet/interior in oth cases.

The gas stain is not as bad. You can do the affected spot with a carpet shampoo and then follow that up with a steam extractor.

But the second case is definitely going to require a thorough shampooing of the seats and carpet (if you have cloth seats).
