Meguires NXT !

WOW! At the suggestion of a few people here and on Freshalloy, I tried Meguires NXT on both Nissans this morning. Did I say WOW!! This stuff goes on easy, comes off REALLY easy with no, zero, zilch, nada dusty residue. This is the deepest, wettest shine I've ever had on a vehicle. Here are a couple of teasers:

Reflection of the Max in the 'mada bumper:

The shiny siblings:

The whole album is at(please note that the first 5 pics are "pre-NTX":

Check out the tags I was able to get for the Max!

Gotta love the tags!!!!!!!! For some reason, the tooth grille doesn't look AS bad on the black max as it does on others. That reminds me, I ordered the Trenz grille almost 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped, gotta give Custom Enterprise (custommaxima.com) a call. Getting sat radio today!!!!!

Hey, you'll LOVE the sat radio! I got factory Sirius on mine, and we're gonna put a second unit in the 'mada. With the kids in the back watching DVD's on long trips, and us in front enjoying commercial-free music without having to find a new station every 100 miles, we might be able to stretch a few extra miles per day!

Tech Wax or Spray Wax? Did you use any prep like a glaze, polish or cleaning wax first?

Tech wax. Only prep was a couple of coats of Meguires Gold Class two weeks ago, but I think most of that was evaporated. You think I could polish both of those and still have enough energy to apply and remove the NXT?

Next time around, I'll probably clay bar and polish first. I just didn't have it in me, and the sun was rising hot and fast.

Thanks MaxCat! Got my bottle of tech wax and also Meguiars Cleaner Wax for prep. Hope I get some dry weather this weekend to pamper my Max. I'm sick of water marks.

Used the Meguires NXT this past weekend.

Excellent results!!! The best part about it, other than the deep shine, is the way it came off so clean and easy, with no white powder residue to contend with.

Thanks all for the suggestion.

I was also happy with the results. I have Maj Blue - Now it looks almost black in the shade and brilliant blue in the sun. Easy on, easy off.

Let us know how long water beads on the finish, guys. I don't want to wax it every weekend.

I have not used the wax yet, but i did purchase the wash, and even that was a great investment. Next time i get a chance i'll do the wax as well for its been a while since i last did.

I used to use all meguire products until I discovered Zaino. I'm strickly a Zaino man now. Has anybody else used Zaino products?

I don't consider myself lazy, but all the steps to get a good Zaino job turned me off. I'll have to say the pix I've seen and the testimonials I've heard have all been glowing.

As for prep, btw, a lot of people just wash their car with Dawn dishwashing liquid ... they claim it strips off the old wax. (I'm not personally recommending this, so don't flame me if it doesn't do the job.)

Buddy of mine swears by Collonite. I understand that it is not quite as good as Zaino, but Collonite is less expensive. About $16 for 16 oz.

Right after you finish waxing with NXT follow up with the booster spray wax (NXT) you will not be disappointed with the effect. I use Meguires professional grade (#7,#9) polishes and swirl removers (for prep I use 3M rubbing compound, clay, and Megs paint cleaner) but I am stuck on NXT as far as wax's go. A lot of people say it is overhyped but I love it.

I still love NXT. My process as of late is to dry the car from washing with Megs Quick detailer. Then I use Megs polish and top off with NXT. I think NXT will be my Summer wax. I will probably use Megs #16 paste for my winter waxing as there are no opportunities to wax during the winter in the North East.

i just put on my nxt. seems to shine the same as eagle one nano wax. so it didn't impress me as much but the extra 5 for the nxt is worth the ease of use. man that came of super easy. an i have use a lot of waxes. it so easy if it doesn't last as long as others u can reapply it caus e it a breeze. also i was wondering do u need to put down polish before this cause i thought is was a polisher also
