well use a different soap. i have used different ones and it works fine. the main feature here is the filtered water. and anyone who has spots just didn't rinse with the mist long enough. u really have to run the old rinse water off. and how bad the water is does have a big effect. half of last summer my outside faucet was broke so i ran the hose thru to the kitchen and it worked better than from outside. outside the filter gets dirty a lot quicker.

I can attest to that, the first couple of times i used Autodry the product performed flawlessly. After a wax i noticed that it didn't work as well anymore. Sure the spots were gone but for some reason the sheeting water dried up as sheets (imagine spots, only larger - 2' diameter or so). That got particularly annoying.

These days i just follow-up the mist with a water blade and MF. At least i get consistent reproducible results with that.

soundmike, I had the same thing happen, not spots but bigger. Did you get them to come out? I tried to wax them off, but I could still see them slightly. Never using Autodry again.
hmm yea first time i didnt read manual .. and i jsut used the regular rinse.. not the filtered spray thing.. and i was like wtf? then i realized and hen it worked out pretty sweet.. i mean its nice... rather go to my little cousings house.. and pay him 5$ to wash it.. hehehe.... child labor.. heheh always better..

i bought the autodry for my black 98 max and i have to say i was really dissapointed. i ended up having to dry it by hand cause it wouldnt autodry, kinda defeating the purpose of the whole thing. i had high hopes for it when i would see it on tv. Now, i will say this...my car's clearcoat isnt that shiny, it looks worn down, like maybe the previous owner never waxed it which could be the reason why it didnt work for me. this is just my personal experience, its cool it worked good for alot of you guys. i guess id have to restore my clearcoat somehow and then retry, if anyone knows what to use to restore clearcoat, let me know. I just bought a 99 camry also however, only one year newer than the max with good clearcoat, ill try the autodry on it and get back to you guys.

I swear by it... just replenished my stock of refills... I have this fear that hey are going to take it off the market. I have enough stuff to wash probably for a year. I have a black max and i cant go more than 3 days without washing it. I do a hand detail every three months or so and AutoDry in between... Couldnt be happier with it.
