Interested in getting a porter cable possibly.
Yesterday i was on autotopia and they had an article on the porter cable. i was amazed at wut that thing can do!
So i was thinking about maybe getting one, only thing is i was wondering how easy it is to use. Also it can be used for applyin wax and removing it am i right? It looks like that thing is well worth the $$. Any opinions on it?

How easy to use? Easy. It is very safe to use and has a short learing curve if you read some of the tutorials like over at Roadfly for example.
Can you use it to apply wax? Yes. Remove (buff it off)? Sure... but I think most people don't.
It's great if you want to fix paint problems (oxidation, swirls, light scratches all over the place, etc.), but for just plain waxing it's not really worth it. It costs a lot to get in the door (machine, pads, a couple polishes), but once you own it the cost to keep using it isn't much, so it's a good thing to buy long-term if you enjoy detailing. HTH

By far, the best investment I've made for keeping the paint looking great. Very easy to use. Foolproof, in fact.
There are some bonnets available to remove polish/wax but I've not tried them. For me the removal is much easier than the application so I do that by hand. The PC makes application easy, quick and thorough.

Best detailing investment I've made. Pretty darn easy to use.

As Bman said, it depends on what you are trying to achieve and your paint's existing condition. For example, if you had moderate swirle, I would recommend Meguiar's DACP, Einszett Ultra, or Menzerna Intensive Polish. If lightly swirled, Meguiar's Swirl Free Polish, Einszett Paint Polish, Meguiar's Swirl Remover #9, 3M Swirl Remover.
But if you are using a PC, you need to choose the correct pad for the occasion. If you get the Lake Country Pads, Only use the yellow if you are looking for something aggressive. The white is medium and is good for many polishes. The gray is the finishing pad used to apply sealants.
