6th geners.. was this wash/wax good or not? Bandwidth limited beware!

I just waxed my car with an amazing wax (or what seems to be) what do you think?

Keep in mind that this car is 13 months old (since delivery) and has just over 30K miles on it!! :-))

-- Pardon the length (due to images) and pardon the poor image quality as these came from my cameraphone) --

These pictures were not taken using any tricks to make the reflection look better than it really is (Like taking the image with the panel not being hit by sun while I or the reflected is). All panels are bathed in sun light as is the reflected.

Here is the 2oz wax bottle before I started:

And here it is after the first full coat over the entire car (needless to say I didn't want to chance wasting the bottle, so I used it more liberally the second coat and added another coat of wax to my wheels and all non black trim):

Here is the finished car:

Since I had never used it before I took the creator's advice about how to clean the wheels and used that to help me learn how to use the product.
Before wheel cleaning:

It looks like a mixed bottle of Zaino. Was it Zaino ?

Here's one of my favorite shots of my Max after polishing with Meguiar's DACP and about 5 or 6 coats fo Zaino (combination Z2 and Z5 mixed with ZFX):

Your car looks great. You should consider using a paint cleaner/polish before applying the sealant to prepare your paint and remove imperfections before sealing next time around.

Your car looks good now, and could look even better if you prepare the surface.

I do too... I clean out the inside of the rim every single car wash and it's fairly easy. Doing this makes the rim look great IMO.
The car looks awesome... I need to wax my car but i'm going to get new tires it this week so i'll probably save the waxing until next week.

you are right... that is the Z5. I did what Sal said to do which was wash it with DAWN, then clay bar, and then wash with Z7. I then applied 2 coats of ZFXed Z5 and then 2 coats of ZFXed Z2 Pro.

I had just gotten the tires the week before I washed it (days before the freezing rain here in ATL). I got the Bridgstone Potenza Pole Position S03 tires.... I have been extremely happy with them in comparison to the RSAs it came with.

I washed the wheels inside and out a couple nights before I did the car. This was for me to get used to the claybar, and the Z2 and Z5 waxes.

Doesn't the claybar do far more than paintcleaner? I have read i didn't do the claybar quite right, as I simply did a once over the car and not feeling to make sure everything was gone before I moved to the next area. But I figured the claybar would do more than a cleaner wax or cleaner polish.

I polish/seal the backsides of my wheels too. It makes the wheels look better, and they stay clean longer.

Your car looks great. The step that really makes a difference in reflectivity though, is polishing or paint cleaning. The wax doesn't really add any reflectivity to the paint, just gloss or a wet look. Your paint shouldn't have any real oxidation or anything since it's pretty new. Like SilverBelle said, use a paint cleaner or polish before you wax next time...it will look even better!

Zaino is a synthetic wax that is essentially a polish. And thanks for the compliment. I will try to get a higher angle image like silverbelle's for a more direct comparison.
