any ideas?
For a long time now, i've had this residue on both my clock and the plastic cover on the gauges....i was using son of a gun protectant one day, and i sprayed it like normal, but after i wiped it off, this was left there:

anybody know how to get it off? I've tried using degreasers such as 4-09 and simple green, and i've also used other protectants like meguiars just to see what would happen....i can't seem to get it off of there....is my only option to wet sand it?

EDIT: and ever since it happened, i've been using the meguiars wipes
well, I had the same problem, not sure where mine came from, it was on both my clock and plastic guage cluster cover. I treated them both like my headlights and sanded the chit out of them. Yes, I rubbed the white off the clock, but Its much better now and I kinda like it better anyway. I can actually read it again and I'm not embarassed when someone gets in and sees it. I tried everything before doing this, this was my last option as far as I was concerned.
its a good idea to spray the dressing onto a rag instead of on the surface itself to control overspray. The gauge plastic is very sensative and will stain easily. Plastic polish is about the only option...may take a few hours! ouch! Good lucK!
