I have a Billett Trenz grille for my 04 Max... not chrome, just silver metal. How the heck do you polish it to make it nice and shiny? Ive tried chrome polish, plain metal polish, even just wax... Nothing really makes it look any nicer. The metal polish says you leave it on until a black "haze" appears, then rub off... I dont get any black haze, and mostly all i get are lumps of excess polish stuck between the slots of the grille.

Anyone have suggestions? The grille I have is the bottom left one, on the red car....

 

i find the combination of mothers powerball+ blue magic metal polish or even mothers polish sometimes works great.. however i do prefer the blue magic one.. it just works a lot better on everything that is metal/metal coated

If you don't get that 'black' color it means the metal has been clear-coated. Use a polish that is clear-coat safe, or you run the risk of taking off the clear over time.
