clay bars

alright, so i got a clay bar for christmas. i was wondering if these clay bars are just regular clay i can buy at craft stores, or is this a certain specialty?

i know this is a noob question but i don't see a difference

They work great, just make sure you put a good coat of wax on after you "clay" the car.

Nope, it's not the same as craft store clay. Many of the auto clay bars today are actually a synthetic clay. Stick with ones made specifically for a cars finish.

No problem. You'll be amazed at the crap the clay bar will remove.
Depending on how severe your winter weather is, you may be better off waiting till spring to use the clay.

Claying rules! You'll notice it pulls a TON of crap off your car especially if your car is not garaged regularly. There is alot of bugs and tree sap...etc that get embedded in your clear coat.
