Tar! >:(

The neighborhood streets have recently been redone and now I have a little bit of tar on the paint.

How do I get this crap off? It's making me mad.

Goo-Gone took some extremely hardened tree sap off my car so I'd imagine it would work for tar as well. It's worth a shot anyway...

Good luck.

Stoner's 'Tarminator'

A clay bar also works.

You can try using wd-40, if that doesn't work I say go to home depot and buy 3m bug and tar remover. Good luck.

Prep-all in the auto body section at the parts stores, safe on clear coats.

I have terry clothes just for nasty stuff like this, soak it and hold it to the area and gently rub it back and forth, turn the towel often, wash/wax effected area.

I've tried Stoner's Tarminator myself but it didn't work too well and the tar was fresh. Either way I still have the tar on my car and this weekend I'm going to the auto parts store to buy some other ones to try out.

I recently used this Rainx Bug and Tar remover, and it worked pretty well. You have to go through with it about two or three times, but it eventually does the trick.

I've used some Turtle wax bug/tar remover and seems to work "ok". My best thing is mudflaps...wifey thinks it's nuts, but no tar crap when you got mudflaps on.

If i were you, I'd definitely use a clay bar. It might take a little extra work but it does wonders for your paint. I just did my car this weekend. I highly recommend it.
