NEED HELP with friends Tail lights

Ok i used niteshades on my previous maxima, and when it came out too thick i used parts/brake cleaner to clean it.

Then sprayed it back and it came out fine

I did 3 out of 4 tail lights on my friends car and it came out excellent but ran a little, so what i did i used some brakes/parts cleaner to clean it. Then i ran out and my friend said use throttle body cleaner to clean the paint off

i painted it again after washed it with soap and the light looks soo blurry and hazy really horrible, i mustve done this tail light about 8 times and everytime it gets worst

Any advice guys? the only thing i can think of is sanding it lightly?

thanks

You answered you own question. Do the same process as you would your headlights if they were hazy.

I'm not a pro at sanding off haziness of head-lights or taillights, but I think the process goes from 600-800-1000? Don't quote me on that, but I think that's what it is.

And I would try using Bug & Tar remover if possible. This shiet is magic when it comes to getting stuff off of head-lights, paint, carpets, seats, anything! Just don't load up on it in one spot and scrub furiously...

good luck

Thanks, but what is causing the tail lights to keep hazing though? after i spray the cleaner on it i wash it with soap and let it dry and when i paint it back it still hazes...

Most likely the fact that you keep recleaning them and then repainting them, and when you clean them you probably scuff them up a little, causing the haziness that you see.

my .02 at least

That seems to be the best bet unless you are using a Brillo pad to clean it!
