I keep a baggy that they go in and then into like a duffle in the trunk with all my other detailing stuff. Gotta be prepared to keep it clean.

I am going to go against the grain and say that I use the following as tire protectants.

303 Aerospace Protectant
Lexol Vinylex

Why? I tend to favor the water based products more than many of the OTC silicone based products. Plus, I am not interested in making my tires bling more than the rims.

Isn't it best to take the wheels off the car, lay them down sideways then apply the shine product??? therefore gravity is actually helping you.

Does anyone do the back of their tires?

I use black magic spray, lasts a good while.

nope, its all relative to the weather people, silicone will dry the fastest, then the armor all and black majic cause its gel- thicker. in summer it adhere's to tires better cause of the heat, that's why you dont see alot of people using it in winter. ( but i do.....)

i'm DEFINITELY too lazy to do that.. lol.. wiping on the gel is as far as i'm willing to go to make my tires shine

i've been using the armorall gel, and it's been working pretty well.. it lasts for a while on the TIRES.. but the thing is, the RIMS still get dirty with brake dust after a couple days! is there anything i can use to protect the rims from brake dust while still keeping the tires shiny?

Regular Armor All works very well. Even after driving in rain my tires look pretty good. Plus, on my customer's cars, it doesn't build up a sticky film like silicone based products do. I have a lot of weekly wash customers and last thing I want is build-up on the tires.

If you can still find NASCAR Ultra Shine Tire Finish (I bought out all the Big Lots in my area), it is an excellent product. I guess it never caught on for some reason.
