How to get rid of SUPERGLUE on my trunk???

Long story short, the kid who owned my car before I bought it decided it would be cool to debadge it, paint the emblem black, and then super glue it back on. But after seeing it didn't work all that well, left the emblem off altogether. It's literally on the trunk and you could see the runs of the super glue also.

What can I do to get rid of this? It's such an eye sore! and the bug/grease that was under the decal looks like it's glued there for life

I second the goo gone. Ive used it to take the badges off a car before and it works really well. I would clean and wax the spot when your finished though.

yep, definitely clean and wax, chances are that the paint under it may be a slightly different color also

how much effort does it take to remove the glue left from the emblems? i just debadged my 99 and it seems like there's still an imprint from the emblem it can only be seen close up but it's there, any tips how to remove this?

If goo gone does not work try gas, I know it sounds bad but trust me it works Detailed for 6 years and going (own my own buis.) I know what I im talking about. Use a little at a time on a rag but keep at it it will work. Once you get it off clean and wax the surface will look bran new. As for the emblem fade still being there. Paint is kinda like our skin in the fact that if you where a t-shirt in the sun your going to get that tan line try a polish wax combo with a buffer if you know how to use one if not leave it to the pros. But that should take care of both the problems.

You can use a little bit of the 3m adhesive remover (cancer in a can) to remove **** like that. I used it to remove some concrete that dripped onto my car courtesy of my apartment buildings garage.

yep, gas works too

ive had alot of luck with goo-gone, the guy who had my 3rd gen before me put black silicone where the top of the windshield meets the roof, it was starting to rust so i guess he just did it. Of course the rest of the car had rust when he sold me it and when i fixed it all up i had to get the silicone off

I let goo-gone soak in the silicone for about 5 minutes and it all came off easily. Sanded, bondo, sanded, filler, block sander, primer, paint, clearcoat, put some clear silicone to stop leaks, and done
